Family fun night was a lot of fun to work at but the room was so hot and the game that I was running was so complicated. It was called Bay Blade Battle and it was a game more geared towards the kids about 9 and up with good fine motor skills.
On April 1st, I retrieved my withdrawal sheet from the guidance office. In 1st Hour (English) I handed it to Mrs. Wolynski, she glanced at it and said, "No, I won't do this.", She then went to the front of the class, began to cry and said, "We are losing one of our own!", She ordered everyone to wear black on Friday (my last day) in remembrance of me. I was about ready to cry myself! I went through the rest of the day by handing the sheet to my different teachers. On Friday, April 4th, Mrs. Wolynski brought in doughnuts, and as I was passing out the napkins Mrs. Wolynski asked that as I was handing a napkin to a student, the student would say their favorite memory about me. She is such a great teacher :')! I also baked green frosted sugar cookies with pink stars on them (in allusion to Patrick Star from "Spongebob"). Everyone took one (or two) and thought that they were delicious. During 2nd hour (Band) Ben asked Mr. Garvey to play the Alma Matter because it is really depressing. Mr. Garvey was all like, "What is it with band kids and liking things when they are depressing?", it was so funny!
After school that day we had percussion ensemble because we didn't have it during the day because it was a 1/2 day. At the end of percussion ensemble practice I ran down to the guidance office and I turned in my withdrawal sheet. As I was walking back, transcript in hand, I looked into the library to see all of the Lamphere teachers talking and having coffee. I saw my teachers, and was reminded of how lucky I had it at Lamphere. The staff is just so amazing and supportive! Once I got back into the band room, I had heard that my mom was waiting for me in the parking lot. So I said my final goodbyes. I gave Emma a goodbye hug and as I was giving her a hug, she began to cry. Soon after, I turned in my uniforms to Mr. Garvey, bid him goodbye, got into my car with Ben, and left Lamphere forever...
We stopped in front of Ben's house. Ben and I got out of the car and I gave him a hug goodbye and got back in. It was just such a sad day, I really miss Lamphere, but I cherish the memories I had their. Now, it is time to move forward with my life. I will never forget Lamphere, "Once A Ram, Always A Ram".
